Pepper Staff put Pep in their Step for Local Groups

Posted 20-08-2015

As part of its local corporate citizenship programme, staff at Pepper’s Shannon office in Westpark have been fundraising for local services while a group of volunteers have just finished upgrading part of the exterior at St. Anne’s school in Ennis.

Fifty staff members rolled up their sleeves for a week long project to transform an outside area of St. Anne’s into a bright, fun, sensory space. Over the course of the five days (August 10th to 14th) Pepper staff painted, polished and sparkled the site in advance of the new school year, when approximately 100 pupils will return to their desks after the summer break. This marks the third year in a row that Pepper has carried out works at St. Anne’s, having previously refurbished the canteen and garden.

Separately, Pepper staff have also raised monies for local services, Crumlin Children’s Hospital and Clare Haven, after more than 30 staff donned their running gear over recent months to participate in the Great Limerick Run and the Clare 10K, respectively.

Grainne Naughton, Site Lead for Pepper in Shannon said: “As Pepper expands its roots here in Shannon, it’s important that we’re involved in the local community at both a company level and also an employee level. We’re delighted that staff have taken the initiative to raise funds for some great local services, and we’re particularly glad to volunteer at St. Anne’s, which is a group close to our hearts.”

Since setting up in Shannon almost three years ago, Pepper has supported various local charities and is also an official partner of the Clare Senior Hurling team and supporter’s club.

Pepper Ireland is a leading servicer of third-party loan portfolios, asset management and advisory services spanning a range of asset classes including residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, auto finance, unsecured loans and equipment finance.

The company currently employs approximately 300 people in Shannon and Dublin and recently announced plans to recruit a further 50 positions by the end of 2015. Pepper Ireland has over €12 billion of assets under management and is ranked by S&P “ABOVE AVERAGE” for its residential loan servicing and “AVERAGE with positive outlook” for its commercial loan servicing.
